Math 527

Exams

Histograms and percent-to-lettergrade conversions for Exams 1 through 3. The percent-to-lettergrade conversions are based on the guidelines

  • the dividing line between B and C is at the mean score, or just below it
  • A is more than one standard deviation above the mean (and in my judgment worthy of an A)
  • B is the mean to one standard deviation above the mean
  • C is the mean to one standard deviation below the mean
  • D is between one and two standards deviations below the mean
  • F is more than two standard deviations below the mean (and in my judgment below the minimum necessary for a passing grade)

Final exam and final course grade
